The Albanian Developer Community Foundation was founded in September 2011 by Flakerim Ismani, a software engineer from Kosovo. The organization started as a Facebook group aimed at bringing together Albanian developers from Kosovo and the diaspora, providing a platform for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and networking. The group quickly grew in size, reaching more than 6,500 members. In 2023, the group evolved into a non-profit organization officially registered with the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations in the Ministry of Public Administration in Kosovo, under the name Albanian Developer Community Foundation or adc foundation.
